I had some recently that were cashews, almonds, pecans, pistachios and I think that's perfect. hazelnuts = too much like a fancy peanut, it's not the right venue for them. a 3% ratio of brazil nuts, what's the fricking point? they just want to be able to list a fourth thing.

for sure, they were only like 10% of the bag but they were the perfect include. really mixed nuts are just a way to get you to eat cashews without feeling gross for gorging on them all at once. it really triples the satisfaction level just to mix a few different textures and fat concentrations together so you can get exactly what you're missing in every bite while the flavors meld together.
