Build Your Own Pawproganda

this is a lovely pawproganda poster I found but it contains only made-up words, so today you must construct your own pawproganda

share your thoughts with the class afterwards, if you wish

Oohh I like the art style on that one. Reminds me of an artist I found on Twitter recently that makes a lot of furry art with a traditional Japanese inspiration

Love it!

squinting at the watermark - wait, is that smallyu of "makes some of the best fursuits" fame?

I'd like to get a clearer sense of the Asian furry community. They create some of the most influential furry works and tend to have compelling stylistic differences when compared to Western furries, but it's hard for me to say just how much of a community exists there and precisely how it differs to the Western one. This guy is another good example of furry art with hints of traditional Asian styles (and cute dudes)

this picture isn't necessarily the most representative of what i mean but it's a good picture

Yep it’s smallyu! Asian furries are reallly interesting, I find it curious that they have there own sort of parallel culture to the western furry scene, atleast looking at their art style.

The one annoying thing is that it can be really hard to find an artist if they don’t have an English name, there’s one Korean artist I saw a while ago that made some great militaryfur art but I can never find them again

imagine not reading every east Asian language

...couldn't be me

I studied a bit in school and can successfully note/remember some, but there are definitely legibility issues in the crossover.

I wish I studied more east asian languages when I was younger. Ethnically I’m a mix of a few different east asian groups (both Japanese and Korean) and not knowing the language has really made it difficult to try and track down any sort of family history. Also just generally wanting to know more about the culture of my ancestors :P
