might try doing that again Im kinda ugly and awkward though so it feels like whenever I start a conversation 
or try to join a group 
its like I am intruding on other peoples personal space 
. I get weird looks 
and stuff from people so i get the impression that people don't want to deal 
with me but maybe it is just my own social anxiety 
. I didnt have any friends in high school either cause whenever I tried to socialize I would make bad impressions and people would just brush 
me off it kind of made me more recluse and bitter and i have a fear of coming off as too clingy or initiating anything. ive tried taking some meds to make me less of a 
so maybe it works or just placebo idk really

All my best friends don't go to my school
I've made some casual friends at my university though.
I started tutoring for a class and I was able to become acquaintances/friends with the other tutors. (We've gone to see movies together as a group and such) So maybe try asking a professor of a subject you're good at if you can do that? It's also good side money.

You are too focused on your own thoughts when you are in public. That's why you are always worrying about fitting in and how you act. Also, you don't know how to act because you don't pay attention to other people so you don't know how to act.
Try going for a walk and observing what's going on. Don't think about rdrama or memes. Don't think about TV or your studies. Think about the outside, the people, what they are doing, how the architecture looks, how the sun makes the trees look.
To meet other gay people, if you want to get involved in pride and activism then go to the LGBT center. If you want to be artsy go try to attend theater stuff. If you want stem gays you're hard pressed but they exist. You can just tell people you're gay and they will introduce you to their gay friends.
To not be alone, making friends is about statistics. You will take to 10 people on campus but you will talk to 0 while locked up in your goon cave.
