The subgroup analysis done here ("those participants with more depressive symptoms and greater feelings of loneliness") instead of looking at the whole dataset just screams p-hacking. Plus this really isn't saying much because it's only looking at the short term, of course if you get to hook up with someone you'll feel better in the short term (no different from how smoking a cigarette might feel good in the short term), the question is whether long term it is good or bad.

My experience has been that people my age (early-mid 20s) have an increasingly negative view of dating apps in general. Men feel the apps are pointless and have a virtually nil success rate, while women feel unprotected from harassment on the apps. The harassment is a huge issue. Massive.
