I agree hookup culture is toxic for me but the data says otherwise about general society.

In a recent study of 394 young adults followed across a university semester, those participants with more depressive symptoms and greater feelings of loneliness who engaged in penetrative s*x hookups subsequently reported a reduction in both depressive symptoms and feelings of loneliness

Maybe it's okay to say it's not for you, but if it helps people who are lonely get out of that lonely bubble to potentially save their and other person's lives, then that's okay

This dipshit thinks foids have anonymous s*x like gay dudes. They don't. You can whip out your peepee and get a gay guy on it without needing to talk.

A foid requires at least some form of conversation first, in other words these depressed moids are also engaging in social interaction.

If you truly love science, keep it away from the redditors.

The subgroup analysis done here ("those participants with more depressive symptoms and greater feelings of loneliness") instead of looking at the whole dataset just screams p-hacking. Plus this really isn't saying much because it's only looking at the short term, of course if you get to hook up with someone you'll feel better in the short term (no different from how smoking a cigarette might feel good in the short term), the question is whether long term it is good or bad.
