Tales from To Catch a Predator: The George Lucas Predator

Terry Warner, also known as the "George Lucas Predator" for his resemblance to the Star Wars director, was caught during the Ocean County, NJ investigation. He comes onto the beach after much prodding by Casey, the on-site decoy who Lorne winds up in a catfish relationship three separate times, only to immediately turn around and start to leave when he sees a couple unrelated to the sting walking along the coast, only to be stopped on his way back to his car by Chris.

He's notable for two reasons: one being that last minute after a month long chat he tells the online decoy and later Chris during the interview that he spoke to a friend who was a lawyer and this friend told him that having s*x with a 13 year old is illegal (you think?) so he wasn't going to have s*x with this girl during his visit—a clear move to try and shield himself from legal trouble if he were caught. The other reason he's notable is for saying during the interview that he knew it "looks bad" that he brought a bra for the decoy which leads to Chris interrupting him and saying "'Looks bad?' It is bad!" while laughing, making it one of the very few times Chris has ever laughed during an interview.

Chatlog

Note his screenname: nj_dom_4_f. Clearly he has naughty thoughts in mind. Also he lies about his age and says he's 49 when he's 60, something predators do a lot.

This is where the chatlog turns sexual, about five minutes after they started talking:

Terry later says she is very sexy and he wishes he were her dad and then asks if she wears a bra and panties to bed and that she should cuddle with a pillow that night and pretend it is him:

One really weird thing Terry does constantly in his chat is roleplay out a whole s*x session by himself while the decoy gives him the most basic and non-committed answers possible. Here he crafts his amateurish erotic prose while instructing her what doggystyle is:

Terry eventfully asks her if she would like for him to be a dad or boyfriend more, and then assures her he can both and they can still have s*x while maintaining a paternal relationship:

Here Terry acknowledges his worry about going to jail and how they will probably avoid having s*x so he doesn't get in trouble (even though he has already committed two felonies):

This is the end of the chatlog before Terry makes his way to the beach, unaware he'll be in cuffs by the end of the night, He reiterates at the very end that his lawyer said they can't do anything physical, but come on, you and I both know this was a dumb attempt by him to avoid getting arrested if this were a sting. Completely unaware that he was getting arrested regardless.

Repercussions, or not

Terry was convicted of attempted sexual assault and child luring and was sentenced to no jail time, just lifetime parole and registration as a s*x offender. Furthermore, he is classified as a Level One on the NJ S*x Offender Registry, which means that all of his information is private. So we have no clue of his current whereabouts or activity, and he only has to check in with a probation officer twice a year. Which seems light with how methodical and graphic his chatlog is, but what do I know.
