I've been using face wash for normal skin and i've noticed it cleared the blackheads on my nose quite well, but i was wondering if i should use one for oilier skin with salicylic acid? i'm thinking it'll work even better in prevention/treatment of blackheads pimples etc. or will it frick up my skin and i should just stick to the the one i'm using currently?
@sandkwinn pls ping the biofoids, i need your advice but i'm too

Actives in face washes are notoriously bad at actually doing the things they're intended for, you're not leaving them on long enough. So it's unlikely to hurt. And even if it does it won't do anything permanent
You're more likely to have an issue with foaming cleansers drying you out than the actives in them being too much for your skin in my experience. Just make sure to moisturize well whatever you end up doing

How long should i leave on face wash? The bottle doesn't even say to leave it on but i read online you should so i let it sit for one minute, is that enough or no

Also - add in one active at a time. Don't take my comment to mean get all that at once cus your face would be hurting lol and depending on age/skin concerns you probably wouldn't even benefit from all of them

Don't leave face wash any longer than you regularly would just to scrub at your face, actives are designed to be left on all day or overnight, so actives in face washes are just gimmicks
I would say get a face wash that works for you (I do an oil cleanser because I use sunscreen, but a non foaming water based one formulated for dry skin works well for non makeup/sunscreen days for me) and use a separate active step. Paula's choice has small sizes and I love her BHA. Stratia makes my fav AHA. And prescription is the way to go for retinols imo
