I've always been a rentcel when it comes to snowboarding, does anyone have any tips for buying one? I'm !dixie so while we do have some stores with boards, I'm not sure it's the best place + I can't exactly try them out either. What are some good brands/what should I expect trying to buy one? I'm sure I'd overpay if I bought one on the slopes, but also not sure if I have any other options to actually see if I like the board itself?
gonna be shredding some gnar on some freshly groomed slopes in a couple of months, want to buy a snowboard this time and looking for help

I wouldn't mind used, there's just no market for it around here. Same with sports stores, REI close to me def has some snow board shit but it isn't their focus. It's all a pretty good bit of money to be spending and I'd rather spend a little extra and have something for life that I like, that's the only reason I'm considering buying on the slopes

In that case ask some snowboarders. If you have the money to burn buying one on the slopes wouldnt be bad tbh
I bought a board off a buddy who was really into it and it worked great

Just not something people around here do often. I figure I could find some second hand store in Colorado and save a ton of money too but that just isn't feasible. IDK, wish I lived in the mountains
