pro tip I learned from stocking shelves and breaking jars of spaghetti sauce etc. (and eventually came in handy in nursing doing dementia damage control), you can cut a piece from a corrugated cardboard box in half and use both pieces to just pinch+scoop it up and throw it straight into the trash. Removes 90-99% of the mess in one pass and the rest can be mopped up with some paper towels. Works wonders for all kinds of messy shit including shit.
