I recently started rewatching this, I hadn't seen it since like 2012 and this shit still holds up to pop-dramas today.
I know the ending was annoying for a lot of people and the time travel stuff was weird but the scope of the show and the mystery of the lead up is hard to beat. I had forgot most of the smaller details going into the show and rewatching actually made me interested in the answers for the stuff hinted at in the earlier seasons. Are there any more modern shows that have the same type of feel, like the mystery suspense drama but actually done well?

YES dude! I re watched it recently and it's pretty fricking goddarn good for cable television. Like really good. Quality drops after season 3 a bit but still fantastic. And Locke is the best male character btw, Kate the best female. Only capable people on the whole darn show
