I didn't think it was that bad. Rando elves and hobbits being black is totally inconsequential in a world where racism based on skin color does not exist. Dramatards are just gonna tard.
People wouldn't care nearly as much if those characters weren't being awkwardly paraded around on screen just to make a political statement.
Make random characters in the LotR films black and nothing really changes, but if the Amazon version characters weren't black you'd have absolutely no idea what the scene is meant to be showing. There wasn't really a narrative purpose.
TBH I don't really care about that type of stuff either but it's an obvious sign of what type of show it's going to be more or less and what the reasons for doing it are.
Yeah, I just thought it was kind of bad in general. Like I had 0 interest in any of it. When they revealed he was Sauron, I was like "oh that's where it was going" and forgot I ever watched it.
Still better than that shitty halo show though lol
Lord of the Rings is gonna go the way of Star Wars. Kino trilogy followed by endless slop that people continue to gorge on well passed it's expiry date just because of that original trilogy.
I tried but couldn't get through it. Even though it was trash, I was pretty committed to seeing how they were going to do to my boy Tolkien. I couldn't make it.

Watched the first 2 episodes, realised that absolutely nothing of interest was happening and skipped the rest.
Seriously, half of the scenes served no other purpose than to virtue signal. "Look there are some black hobbits!" - okay fair but why do we care?
