Not even black men want to watch this movie so even they agree it's niche :marseysmug2:

I'm tired of people using “niche” to diminish the 50-75 black woman dollar. We're coming out and we're going to make it a hit. Mmhmmm.

Never heard of it. Is it for black people that are so black they're purple?

No idea what the title means, and one guy who asked on reddit was told to watch the movie :soyjakferal: But it's about how bad black women had it before feminism or something like that :marseykween: :marseydomesticabuse:

The original movie stars Oprah Winfrey and Whoopi Goldberg and was written by Alice Walker. It came out in the 80s, was directed by Spielberg and was quite good. It depicts a woman triumphing over domestic abuse and a generally terrible life in the south during the 1920s/30s. I have no fricking clue why it was made into a broadway musical, but that has been out for a long butt time now too.
