The new movies pretty much wreck what xenomorphs are. I can't remember what's revealed in which movie so I won't say, but there's just too much of a stretch to consider them the same universe, even though I think they're trying to bridge them.

That was easily the best bit. Very effective. The rest was pretty terrible. Pretending that the scientists were being very dumb was hubris rather than poor writing is delusional. Which is about what you'd expect from a man who pretends he's a woman.
