"I have an idea, let's adapt The Foundation but kill off the main character and replace him with a black kween with magic powers"

"I have a better idea: let's make it two black kweens with magic powers. People will love it!"

No such thing. It's a sprawling story and they've completely fricked it with bad writing.

Oh lord there's a lot.

Basically, the Empire isn't a bureaucratic mess mirroring Rome, they're just Nazis as always. Rather than transfer of power, a Cleon instead just cloned himself repeatedly so it's always Cleon in charge. They keep a young, middle aged and old clone alive at all times and rotate them, which definitely isn't just to let them use the same actors in whatever era is being shown.

Hari Seldon is quickly killed off for no good reason to be replaced with a gender and race swapped Gaal, who can also magically see the future. She manages to frick everything up and so ends up cryofrozen in space, but in the 4 days of bullshit this occurs over she manages to get pregnant with a daughter that someone else ends up carrying.

Of course that daughter is a gender and race swapped Salvor Hardin who can also see the future for no reason. Salvor isn't the mayor but instead some kind of brooding girlboss, which further fricks Hari's timeline. Oh, and shock, Hari made an AI copy of himself inside a giant egg with a death field so they can bring the actor back for a 5 minute speech every now and then. That clone also somehow finds Gaal in deep space but she gets pissed and flies off again in a cryopod.

Trantor seems fine-ish but that might be because there's no development. Terminus is basically a refugee tent city and the foundation does nothing useful. The main book plot is so monumentally fricked by this that they basically need a secret second foundation but not on Trantor.

Also Anacreons are a bunch of savages with guns, except their girlboss leader who uses a bow and arrow. Her leadership style is "we do whatever the plot demands, no matter how unreasonable".

There's more to it, but I gave up after the first season.
