god Civil War was r-slurred

that movie works on the presumption that people have sympathy for journos

and what was that guy doing, roaming around with a notepad in active warzone, atleast others were clicking photos

Imagine you're stacked up with your battle buddies and all the sudden some journo gets into the stack aiming a camera at the enemy instead of a gun. You have to constantly tell the r-slur to get down or get out of the way. You're tempted to just dome them and blame it on the enemy but instead you just sort of let them run out into the line of fire and have nature run its course.

Wasn't the ending like a special forces raid. Imagine raiding the Bin Laden compound and some teenage girl journo is snapping photos of you.

Given everyone on that raid ended up chasing book deals, honestly not a bad concept. You could skewer journos, media corps, Chris Kyle wannabes and Black Rifle Coffee drinkers in the same film. But I guess it would've gotten in the way of fellating journ*lists and forcing in trailerbait action scenes.
