Tarantino is kino, but most of his films are a bit samey in terms of story arc, so he only deserves one spot on the top 10.

Which one is it dramac*nts? Pulp Fiction? Hateful Eight? !kino

Pulp Fiction, no question.

My personal answer is Django but I think in an objective sense Pulp Fiction is too popular and loved to not be considered his best movie.

Jackie Brown is literally his best movie. Also a top three De Niro role.

Reservoir dogs, Pulp fiction and Inglourious basterds are brilliant films, and stand out as some of the best kinos of the recent era with high energy and great dialogue all through the film.

Once upon a time was one of my favourites, because of the slow build up, tense atmosphere and the final release. Really good, although I sometimes wonder if that's just recency bias.

I fricking hated Django. I found it annoying, although it's probably a fine film. Maybe it's because I'm not American so I don't give a darn about the slavery element. Hateful eight was great though.

I recently watched Death Proof and I was surprised that I liked it, because everybody seems to hate it. It's not very interesting but the Tarantino elements push it from meh into good. All his films have a certain tempo and energy that just make them interesting, even if the film is otherwise unremarkable.

I remember not liking Kill Bill although I don't remember why. Maybe I should rewatch it. I remember frick all about what happens in Jackie Brown and whether I liked it. The only thing I remember is de Niro shooting that foid, which was funny.

No, I genuinely don't see the appeal of his movies. They're not funny, they're not smart, they feel like marvel but without the superheroes. Pulp Fiction was his best work, and even then it's unimpressive by current standards

Nah they're alright but most importantly, they're always fun to watch

Gave The Hateful Eight a rewatch a couple of months ago.

Still kino :#boomermonster:
