Fury Road lost money overall. They couldn't get it into China. It only made like 150 in the US. George Miller (cute twink who hasn't practiced in years) then decided to start a needless lawsuit over money to which he had no reasonable claim. Tom Hardy's Max was also a very different character. He was more like a sad Max. The setting also became cartoonish. Furiosa was just the latest dumbass decision in a line of dumbass decision.

Nah, Thunderdome was the best. I rewatched Mad Max 2, and it was pretty underwhelming. I saw it 10+ years ago, and remembered it fondly, but... .
The first one was always dull. Much potential and good for a low budget film, but overall?
