https://x.com/realswtheory/status/1803274211307430340

Ki something isn't supposed to show up in the new show but he did. Star Wars nerds are seething over it. I don't know why this showed up on my Twitter feed but it's probably because I've clicked on Twitter links from here so thanks a lot dorks.

TPM ruined the EU continuity and introduced midichlorians amongst other concepts counter to the existing lore. Unless something after X-Wing/New Jedi Order threaded that needle before the Disney purchase it was already a complete mess.

Spaceslop was an absolute staple of my childhood from grades 5 to 9. Thankfully grew out of it before HS. I liked the Corellia trilogy and that one where the hutts build a death star laser

I get schadenfreude when all the new fantasy shows ruin the lore for their nerds now. :marseyravecope:

God I love Lucas so much, this would be way more fun if he was fricking with Star Wars instead of Disney

I only did since my uncle had a million of them he gave to our family. Most were shit but I enjoyed them as a kid with no standards lol. The ones with Thrawn were cool. :monkey: :marseyskywalkergenocide:

The RA Salvatore stuff (mostly NJO) was also good by pulp standards. You seem like someone who would have read the Drizzt novels. :marseysquint:

I haven't but my friend spergs about them. She's more into DnD stuff. My uncle also gave us a bunch of Xanth books. They were fantasy pulp lol but they were a fun time (and weirdly horny sometimes lol :marseybooba: :marseybutt: ) have you read those?

Jason Heller, writing for The A.V. Club, described the book as a "sad, misogynistic fantasy" that is "little more than a bundle of leering, hateful, degrading judgments about both women and men", in which misogyny is "fundamentally integrated as a primary theme".

No but sounds like something I would've enjoyed. :chuddyhappy:

In fantasy I mostly stuck with the staples... Forgotten Realms, Terry Goodkind, Shannara etc. When I was in middle school I tried getting through the Silmarilion and hated it. After that I transitioned :marseyeggirl: to sci fi and the original stuff like Edgar Rice Burroughs and HG Wells. :marseyscientist:

I love Shannara :marseyembrace: I also had a big hardcover collection of adventure stories that had some HG Wells. :marseykino: My fave series in middle school though were the Dune series and the Caves of Steel series.

Xanth is possibly the series that has the least of the author's interest in the s*x lives of the underaged in it. But it still makes appearances.

I thought the nascar scene and the random fricking blood sugar test were pretty funny :marseyprojection:
