This movie is good but kind of frustrating. It gets a lot of the small details correct (Mayan fashion, lifestyle, the appearance of the city, their religious philosophy) but gets the bigger points wrong (the classical Mayan empire collapsed in 900ad, 600 years before the spanish showed up, the Mayans didn't practice human sacrifice on an industrial scale; that was the Aztecs). So the movie comes off as trying to show the fall of the Aztecs but attributing it to the Maya. Which is weird.
But taken solely as a film and not a historical piece it's bretty gud.

Biggest bullshit I ever fell for. (((anthropologists))) love to spout this nonsense
In reality
We have songs from these "people" recorded in the fricking 18th century praising human sacrifice

I thought the point the tried to make was that the Maya didn't perform heart extraction (rather thye just beheaded the sacrificial victims), but that it was possible that the post-classical Maya were aztec influenced into them.

The Aztecs famously sacraficed thousands at a time. The classical maya were more conservative about it. These empires were seperated by hundreds of years.

I saw 10 minutes of it and concluded it's just a remake of Last of the Mohicans.
I'm usually right about these things. I knew Avatar was going to be Dances with Wolves with blue aliens after seeing the trailer.

Entertainment is a profession. The world runs on entertainment, but behind the screens, there's a lot of hard work being put into it so that everything goes well. You don't realize the countless hours of training and preparing that goes on in the backstage.
You... you do know that Vtubers are actually idols, right? That they have massive concerts and merch and all that? That they make their own original songs and etc? Surely, you do, otherwise you wouldn't be opening your mouth.
