Up to season 4 or 5, Rick and Morty was still funny. Family Man got real old after season 2. Haven't seen South Park in years because it's very much the same old shit. Simpsons have been a joke for decades.
Venture Brothers is great but I'm not sure how someone who didn't grow up around the older cartoons/comics would feel about it since Season 1 spoofed on them a lot.
I imagine Mitt Romney gathering his family around the fireplace every Sunday night at 8pm to watch this; as they'd be the only people who'd be "entertained" by whatever the frick this is supposed to be.
the part with the boats and wires, where they open the scene with the kids playing on the deck, was absolutely fricked, first kino i've seen out of a new show this year.
I watched this in the cinema. It was okay, pretty generic. But it had:
no clumsy identity group inclusion virtue signal
no pointless romantic subplot (well almost, but no)
no stupid quirky Marvel tier 'well that happened' humour
It's been so long since I've seen a film in the cinema without that annoying shit it was kind of surprising just how much something improves when they leave it out. It's not going on any of my favourites lists but I had more fun watching it than anything else I've seen lately.
I'm like a year late but I finished The Last of Us. I thought it was incredible, apart from the mall episode every episode was phenomenal. The premiere might be one of my all time favorite premieres.

Re-watching Scrubs.
Such a great show. And its funny that the show is just 20 years old, and not exactly chuddy, but makes several and gay jokes that would totally get it cancelled today

Besides starting a ST:TNG rewatch, I was sick and bored so I watched Late Night with the Devil. It was okay until the climax. The fake video filter + the really crappy digital effects + the over the top violence made it look like something that would air on Adult Swim, I actually started to giggle.
Has anyone here watched the Netflix miniseries Brand New Cherry Flavor? The show is a tribute to the grindhouse horror films of the '70s and '80s (but set in the '90s and laced with heavy doses of Lynchian arthouse surrealism as well), and features some of the most extreme gore ever seen in a television series, with scenes guaranteed to make even battle-hardened horror fans squirm. The 8-episode series gets increasingly gory (and increasingly bonkers) with each episode. The ending is disappointingly anticlimactic (I was fully expecting a final tragic, gut-wrenching bloodbath), but the series is still very much worth watching, especially for fans of off-the-wall cult horror. All throughout the show, there is superb use of mood and period atmosphere, with many well-placed selections of '90s indie rock (such as "Tomorrow, Wendy" by Concrete Blonde in a particularly memorable scene). The performances are stellar all-around, especially that of lead actress Rosa Salazar. With a better ending, this could have been something truly great.

Yes and it was awesome.
It reminded me of Blood Drive, which I wish would have gotten more seasons. We don't get enough D-Level grindhouse series that are just fun to watch and don't take themselves seriously.
I'm watching Cute butches & Dragons… good show a bit dragged out with the whole Daemon peepeeing around in harrenhal scenes but it's better than the majority of lesbian dramas on TV right now.
