Dragonslop S2 episode 6 drops to a 6.4/10 IMDB rating. Redditors :marseyseethe: :marseycope: blaming the homophobes and Saudis :marseyflagsaudiarabia:

the second thread got jannied lmao

Review bombed 100%, homophobic reactions to the kiss at the end it's not a coincidence that 90% of the 1/10 reviews are from Saudi Arabia. Like seriously how does this episode have the worst rating compared to the previous one.

What about Laenor and his lover getting intimate? The show was not review bombed at all for that. Don't know if that is consistent with what the root cause for these negative reviews.

:#marseynoooticer: most peculiar huh?

I imagine some of the bomb ratings are homophobic but some are because of the bad writing. I would give it a 7 maybe because it's too slow, Daemon should've been in Harrenhaul for 2 episodes 3 at a push. Rhaenyra being annoyed at her son who is only trying to advise her and then goes seeking validation from a stranger who helped usurp her a matter of weeks ago. I couldn't really care less about the kiss but I'd like for it to be viewed for what is is, a mistake on Rhaenyra's part and the beginning of her downfall. And also we get this instead of a cool scene of Addam and Seasmoke or maybe Helaena visiting her sick husband's bedside or more Corlys ffs.

Lmao

I'm more surprised there's even that many folk watching it in Saudi.

Episode was good. Ignore all the strags ego just want to see cgi monsters whose idea of a good tv show is watching it at a bar in public with "fandoms"

The gay kiss at the end seemed more like they were trying to preemptively add a scene to the episode so they could blame bad reviews in that rather than for being so boring.

I liked the first season but this season really feels like it's dragging

Idk I find it better than the first season because it is getting down to the core of what makes GRRM's writing interesting - the intrigue. As the dance is only told through grrm's fake history book which contradicts itself on purpose as a narrative device I'm fine with the show being different, but I think they're getting the tone of what makes it good correct unlike dumb and dumber who just turned asoiaf into cgi dragons and big battles, so it's great for being mostly original but staying true to the tone of the author. It's supposed to be a plodding fantasy soap opera inspired by the wars of the roses, not a chronicle of battles and the mainstream reviews and brand tattoo wearing redditards still seem drunk on the last half of game of thrones.

When the dunk and egg show comes out you'll probably see the same thing too and there's NO dragons in that and barely anyone dies

Anyway I can excuse the lezzing because it's in character for raenera since her entire life has been a search for affection and myseria expressed true admiration for her as a person, not as a ruler or even as a targ and of course raenera has psychosexual problems so that's how she manifests it

Idk I read all the published works before the tv show as they were published and some while deployed I loved it for being a gripping story that was mostly mystery and words and stuff mixed with some weird shit. I still contend that daemon losing his shit to his guilt led by alys rivers is the most GRRMlkke writing in all of the adaptations

I'm unironically excited for "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" show :soyjakwow:

Post Dragon Targaryens and the Blackfyre rebellions are super interesting and underrated.

Yeh I'm glad they're doing it instead of something boring like aegons conquest or who cares like the ancient era or voyages of coryls

I think Maegor's reign could be a cool 5-6 episodes miniseries
