Honestly, I don't mind Celebrimbor having apprentices. The Silmarillion is not a novel but a mythology book/compendium and any adaptation will be forced to create side characters, sort of like adapting a Bible book to film. The problem with this show is that even source material characters suck because they can't write neither dialogue nor storylines.

He absolutely would have many apprentices and other smithies working nearby. But they wouldn't be woman, Tolkien tried beeing historically accurate with role of woman in medieval society.
Galadriel is the biggest tomboy among high elves and even she doesn't do much man jobs beyond statehood. She spends most of her time like weaving and shit, she was the one who made grey cloaks fellowship gets for example.

if it was a passing of the torch type story, like the old gaurd giving way to the new generation - and both old and new learn to respect one another over the course of the adventure....
but this is never what happens on modern Amazon/Disney/Holeyweird slop - instead it is the same retreaded tiresome girlboss, outshining and upstaging the old gaurd, usually grumpy worthless decrepit Huwhitoid mayo dinosaur giving way to new better progressive protagonist, the same
kindergarden level petty mindset of a sibling wishing to dismantle something out of spite, not love for the source

The elves are immortal and ageless, so passing the torch would make no sense. They can be killed though so "ammortal" is a better definition so the apprentices are there to learn, help and maybe serve as spares just in case.

I hated the show portrayal of Galadriel as a warrior, same with Miriel and just everything about NĂşmenor.

Good thing I never watched it and don't even know who miriel is supposed to be (I'm guessing )
But even Luthien doesn't ever use a sword or other normal weapon, and she goes on a lengthy quest to rescue get beloved.

The show NĂşmenĂłreans are so lame, I never got a "ubermensch race" vibe from them
These guys are supposed to be Elendil and Isildur
