Kate Blanchett has played some pretty kickass women in some of her movies.
A bit older then in the game but I don't see that as an issue.

For those unfamiliar, the entire movie had to be shot on a green screen in a nursing home because all of the main cast are over 85. It currently sits at 5% on Rotten Tomatoes, up from 0% after the embargo lifted

In a clip they were willing to show in the trailer, they clearly use a stunt double to hop up on a block the size of a large couch, and very noticeably cut to Cate Blanchett on the block in a position that doesn't match

Kate Blanchett is too old for Lilith, Jaime Lee Curtis is too old for Tannis, Kevin Hart is too goofy for a serious character like Roland, Tiny Tina and Claptrap are still annoying so thats the same and Krieg is perfect. The casting directors got 3 out of 6 right.
