Seems even the chuds and progs agree the movie is shit
It cost around $115 million to make so you need at least double that to break even lmao they are so screwed
oh and some redditor cope cause they are doormats

oh that's true, the Mario movie was surprisingly good
from google I see Arcane, Grand Turismo, Warcraft, Detective Pikachu, Castlevania, and Tomb Raider
Though I'm not sure I'd call any of those faithful adaptations, more spinoffs

It was meant to be a trilogy, It's been almost 10 years, no sequel in sight. People have been asking for a warcraft movie every time a new expansion cinematic releases, and make it a point to mention they don't want it to be like the one movie they got.

the people who spend their time on reddit asking for movies based on their fav game franchise are not really the average person tbf

Video game movies aren't marketed towards the average person, hence why they flop

It was a CGI milestone: it was the first movie where the CGI characters were better actors than the live action characters

I do but also I'm right. Pretty sure the GT movie was lambasted on release (i don't remember it coming out at all )

it's got a 98% audience score which is insane. I haven't heard anyone in the motorsport or sim racing scene complain about it, just recommend
I guess I'll have to watch it myself then

Castlevania was about as accurate as you can make with the thin plot.

I liked Gran Turismo quite a bit, but it's easily the least vidya movie out of all of these, since it's literally based on the story of a real racing driver who just happened to start out from playing racing games and then won the GT Academy contest. It's like a solid racing movie that has some gaming plot points and visuals/camera angles. Do recommend.
