But The Acolyte could not sustain the momentum, dropping out of the Top 10 in Week 3 and staying off before returning after the release of the finale at #10 (335M minutes, believed to be the lowest for a Star Wars series finale).

hero engine is the biggest pile of dogshit that i played at relase.
luckily it's been ages since release, but that engine is shit as frick. iirc it fricked up parry mechanics in regular pve combat (combined with SWTOR's hit a button for auto attack).
but as soon as you moved into pvp it was super shit. if you wanted to jump as a guardian (jedi knight tank class, don't remember the sith equivalent) in huttball /voidstar (start of fight when doors opened) it often led to either a desync or nothing happening at all. basically you wasting a CD. and this kind of shit is what everyone does - as soon as doors open you use your movement abilities to get where you want.
in general though i blame the downfall of it relying on single server tech and not merging servers fast enough when the initial hype went down (as expected). i mean the bugs irae aod encountered in raiding (oops encounter not ready for nerds) were one thing. but having multiple servers running with less than 30 max lvl chars for a months...

bounty hunters were stupidly OP at launch of swtor, especially in pvp. I held a point entirely by myself in an early pvp match against as many as 3+ people trying to take it and I still won. Class was broken but really fun to play.

You could even recanonize a lot of the cooler jedi from the old EU. By having them die in a montage of awesome and strange scenes like drowning while rescuing children from floodwaters, holding the line against an army of slavers to protect exotic babes, and dying in the defense of helpless villages. Show how Luke built something good and how that was slowly destroyed.
