Unpopular take here but I do like me some Star Wars :marseydisney: and I actually thought S1 of Mandalorian was great. I'm not sure why they had to try giving it more of a serialized plot instead of doing an X-Files and just having planet of the week adventures with Baby Yoda and having the main story progress very slowly. :marseyyoda:

I kinda gave up on Disney+ shows after S2 was a mess. :marseyitsover:

You made the right call tbh. Everything after s1 of Mando has been mediocre to bad. S3 of Mando was messy, Obi Wan was bad, Boba Fett was bad. I didnt even consider watching The Acolyte.

I keep wanting to try out Andor but I don't have any interest. Ive heard its "Star Wars for grown ups" but I think that's missing the point of Star Wars.

Andor is super good sci-fi, you can just forget the Star Wars connection. Totally worth watching.

I started up Lexx again after seeing random episodes on sci fi channel in the 2000's. It's just as weird and horny as I remember it.

Does it stay good or does it fall off in future seasons?

It kinda falls off during water and fire IMO, but surprisingly pucks back up once they get to earth.

to try out Andor

I wasn't keen on watching it because I didn't really like Rogue One in the first place (or much of the Disney crap, save for early Mando), but I ended up liking it. Diego Luna actually gets to act, the rest of the cast is great, and if you're an Empire man (as in you like the Empire as opposed to the Rebels), it shows them being incredibly vicious and hardcore. The blonde broad who is in the ISB is good looking too, as is the Mon Motha actress.

Season 2 is good. No as good as 1 but still good.

I felt the same about Andor, then finally bit the bullet and it was worth it. They could remove all of the Star Wars aspects from the show and it would still work well as an original series. It's just good TV.

No one even remembers Ahsoka, huh. I'm surprised I do, it's not like I watched it.

S1 Mandalorian was really good Star Wars because they gave a legit Star Wars fan free reign to do what he wanted. It turned to shit because after it got popular they just had to Disnify it and turn it into more Marvel-like slop.

They very clearly intended "Baby Yoda's" story to end with the Mandalorian bringing him to Luke Skywalker. You could tell they were really caught off guard by how much meme popularity the character got when they were scrambling to get merchandise made of him after season one. The entire show has just been big contrivance after that to explain why he's still on the show, hoping that people will keep buying plushies of him.

yeah, S1 of mandalorian was fricking my favorite star wars since rhe original trilogy. John Favreau's idea to make it a fricking space western was fricking genius.
