He had already written some stuff for Playhouse 90. He had done Patterns, which is a classic. Doesn't sound like it would be interesting but it's really good. (Also Requiem for a Heavyweight but I never watched it because I don't give a shit about boxing.)

It is. This guy was a fricking genius. He pretty much knew how TV was going to work and most of it applies to the internet and social media. And being a critic of media wasn't his day job, he's just throwing out opinions.

Yeah, there's a huge difference between him or Gene Roddenberry & Gene Coon or a bunch of other guys from that generation, who thought war was bad because they were in it, and the later draft dodgers like Coppola who went to the UCLA film school and made anti-war movies because it was trendy.
