He had already written some stuff for Playhouse 90. He had done Patterns, which is a classic. Doesn't sound like it would be interesting but it's really good. (Also Requiem for a Heavyweight but I never watched it because I don't give a shit about boxing.)

I agree with him about just about everything.

Tbf this is (if I understand it right) before it aired. And there had never been a serious scifi tv show before this. It was all children's stuff like Captain Video. There was a radio show Dimension X which was similar in that it was based on stories from magazines but it was pretty daring to actually try to do it on TV. And remember the world was really really fricking poor back then.
