Wake up !kino time to discuss the fall of Star slop again
Nothing juicy in the /r/boxoffice thread yet but I get the feeling some of these comments might yield some sneed
Seeing all the comments saying "Andor was the only good thing Disney made." Honestly, it makes perfect sense that you like Andor so much. Andor was a cold, miserable, deadly serious show - in other words, it perfectly matches exactly the kind of people Star Wars fans are. The most abysmally hateful and toxic people ever.
On toxic Star Wars fans a lot of it is due to Disney. Acolyte you see a press tour of people saying Star Wars is sexist and racist. Rey movie director is a feminist activist documentary director. Disney reminds me of vegan activist. I'm vegan and I cringe at how vegans try to convert people. These feminist activist are just making people hate feminism.
Just frick all of you people. I genuinely can't take this fandom anymore. THE. WORST. FRICKING. FANDOM. EVER.

Even George Lucas was bad at Star Wars. It just isn't very good.
Unironically the best thing to come out of it was Grim Fandango and the Sam and Max games. We might not have had as much 90s point and click kino if George didn't have a big bag of starwars cash to fund Lucas Arts

Star Wars is a very corny B movie from the 70s which became popular because of innovative special effects and the simple old fashioned plot (farmboy rescues princess from a castle with the help of his new friends and a wizard). Lucas himself knew he made a children's movie and he never gave a flying frick about lore-obsessed geeks opinions while writing the prequels

Star Wars is supposed to be about knights in space who use magic and have cool laser swords. It's an idea that should literally print money, but everyone keeps making it about political negotiations, diversity, shitty dialogue and other garbage that no one cares about. Honestly anyone with any filmmaking capability should steal the good bits and let the rest of it die!
