I'm just a mick

One of the most classic lines on TV ever and it's erased because we don't ever get "representation". In fact it's erased. Wonder which government of child molestors is resonsible.

Oh, Harrigan did it because he's a Mick. Det. Logan's a Mick. I'm a Mick, sir and if you don't shut up, I'll lose control and throw you out of the room.

They had this informal rule at some point that the Dominicans were the prosecutors and the Fransicans the defense in witch trials. Because the Dominicans were fricking psychos and the Fransiscans were like "are we even sure that witchcraft is a real phenomenon?" :marseyhmm:

Is that true? :marseythinkorino: I haven't heard of this. The Franciscans had been involved in the Inquisition as inquisitors since the ~1250s and the rule of thumb was less specifically about which Order they were in but their level of knowledge, generally speaking any clergy with knowledge of both law and theology could be tapped. Provence was even specifically under the supervision of the Franciscans.

Catholics were typically much more skeptical of the reality of witchcraft, very few individuals were sentenced when you consider how many centuries the Church was trying people. Generally speaking if you made a religious confession you weren't gonna get burnt by us. It was the early modern Protestants who ironically both did most of the witch hunting and also painted the Inquisition as more brutal than it was (Cathar Crusade being the exception).

Kind of not really. [I will present the protestant side of this except I'm very sleepy right now. Also btw I'm not just sympathetic to this guy's religion. I am actively moving toward it. But it would be insincere if I faked it.
