Not much box office news this week, but apparently Joker 2 is a contender for biggest second weekend drop of all time so we'll just have to see 
It could also surpass The Marvels as the biggest sequel box office drop of all time.
Meanwhile ticket pre-sales for both Wicked and Gladiator 2 are apparently pretty good. This bothers me because those movies look fricking stupid

Also watched the first few episodes with my Dad who's a bigger fan of LOTR and the show than I am. It's decent but the fact they portrayed using the rings as a good thing or even necessary to save the elves from having to leave middle earth is so inconsistent with the themes of the books/movies and annoys me to no end.

yeah it was pretty fricking confusing, but tbf the The Silmarillion is pretty ridiculous too so I can't really say one explanation is better than the other. Even acknowledging wizards are angels is kinda peak cringe imo
I do like the performance of Gandalf Day-Lewis though
