S1 was alright. A lot of mystery, hints of lovecraftian horror, unique setting.
S2 nosedives. Plot point and magical elemets are brushed aside so we can focus on teen drama and relationship drama of all things. Main characters have plot armor so thick, they can survive a shotgun blast (literally), then sprint 5 miles. A lot of "this main character dies... But not actually it was just a dream haha bazinga!"S1 establishes a character as a psychotic killer, only to 180 and try to redeem her, look how mean everyone is to her she was just confused she only killed like 4 people but now she feels sad and ostricized
