Really interesting, I did some brewing in my life but I always wanted to try doing mead.
Also 130 meads in your life? Buddy how about you lose some weight
Apple mead is amazing. Literally just 2 liters of juice per 1 cup of honey
Have you made it yourself? How many months did you have to leave it fermenting for?
I did. I fermented it for ~ 30 days total. I also use yeast nutrients (speeds things up and lowers the chance of off flavours)
It never cleared as much as I'd've liked but it still tasted good.
Also heads up never use any clearing agent they all end up stripping out too much of the honey flavour
Oh in that case it sounds very manageable. I brewed fruit wine a couple of years ago and to get double fermentation and have it clear it took me from November to April or something like that. I guess I'll give mead a go sometime if it's that easy
Yea it's good, just expensive. Even buying in bulk honey is $$$ these days
