You can get two passports if you go to Israel, then want to visit almost any Muslim country.

Research your tax situation carefully as you may end up owing taxes to both nations. Canadians are obligated to report income earned abroad and pay taxes on it.

I thought that was the USA who did that.

The US is much more strict on it too, you're forced to pay US federal income tax on all income earned abroad even if you've fully moved over. That's why it's important to research tax treaties or even give up US Citizenship otherwise you'll be paying double income tax. Some countries will only make you pay the difference if their tax is higher if they're nice. Canada will only make you pay the difference (if there's a tax treaty) and only if you're still a resident for tax purposes

I worked abroad for a while and absolutely had to pay taxes on it but idk how it would be for someone who never actually lived here

if you move residence to US from Canada completely, like full live there most of the year and get paid by american company you dont need to pay taxes in Canada.

It's literally only the US that does that

Probably not if you're not a resident for tax purposes, always good to check though not worth it for the extra paperwork imo

It does, I've been to Algonquin twice and it's very pretty.

Booze is incomprehensibly expensive up there tho. I get a bottle of this stuff to bring back w/ me and it's like $50 for a large bottle.

Having both makes the border crossing so much easier but mostly if you're living in Canada. Going to Canada as an American is a joke
