Dear fellow schizocarpic enjoyers....
Did you know, you national tree 
is schizocarpic?
Funny word, eh? It actually has nothing to do with our schizo carpic head janny.
It actually has nothing to do with to do with schizophrenia, or cyprinidae.
The word schizocarpic means that a plant makes seeds in pair of 2, evenly divided twins. Florists have an odd way to name things.
Our cherished Maple is schizocarpic. Is our schizo carp a maple?
We would like to acknowledge that this hole is established on the traditional and vibrantly coloured land of Don Cherry. We recognize the many years of service and garishly coloured joy he has brought us here on Turtle Island. May we continue to celebrate the spirit of Don Cherry's land with respect and appreciation.
