Taxes on Canadians working two jobs 'indecent': Montreal Economic Institute study | SaltWire : canada | :soyconsoomer: "Why doesn't this 23 year old working 60 hour weeks understand that getting taxed progressively (and therefore paying more taxes) is actually a good thing???"

I'm confused… isn't this just progressive tax? Like if she was making the same (total) compensation at one job instead of two, she'd pay the same tax. So what she's arguing for is that she should pay less tax because she's working two jobs to get the same level of income, instead of one?

Yea and it fricks over poorcels to the point many will only take other jobs if paid in cash.

Feels kind of unreal to read about someone that has to work 60 hour weeks to make ends meet advocate against progressive tax rates.

Yea cuz like why wood u not like paying lots of tax?

!leafs why are our country men such smug pricks?

"I didn't realize I'd be taxed more, the more I worked, so it was a bit of a learning curve," said Brown, 23, who'd been working at Fredericton Homeless Shelters full-time and part-time as a caterer and bartender at banquets. "I remember calling my parents and saying, 'I never thought this would happen when I got a second job.' I was expecting the opposite. I was working so much, I thought I'd get much further ahead, but I guess I was naïve."
