Leaf :marseysteer: skills are questionable

Leaf licenses

I came across www.reddit.com/r/Ontariodrivetest/ and it's hilarious how bad these drivers are. I've never heard anyone struggle with drivers tests anywhere and everyone has a drivers license so I don't really understand.

It looks like there are 3 different license tests G1/G2/G, in total you do a multiple choice test and 30min of driving across 2 more tests.

G1

This is a multiple choice test about signs and you have to be :marseygigaretard: to fail and once you pass you are allowed to drive with a buddy and not on highways.

try it for yourself: https://www.g1.ca/g1-practice-test/

G2

This is a driving test and you need to 3 point turn, park and drive around the block, once you pass you can drive alone

G

Another driving test, you need to show you can change lanes and drive on the highway, once you pass you have a full license and never have to take the tests again

Reddit Drivers

let's see how reddit copes with these easy tests.

1. Advice needed: My friend failed her G test for speeding (going 100km/h) on the 401. Please see comments for details.

:marseyhmmm: how could she possibly fail after speeding and being told 3x

2. Passed G2 test after six attempts

I'm living proof around here that if you keep trying and keep practicing driving, you'll get it eventually. Just days ago I was beyond stressed and scared the night before my test. I thought I would fail again. I hate driving because I'm cautious and a lot of things about driving I'm bad at. I live in a rural area, so it was difficult to convince my father to go into the city for practice… Especially worse when I moved out for school. However, even though I hadn't driven in weeks until preparation for my sixth attempt on the test: I was able to drive like the back of my hand for the most part. I think I owe it all to how many times I had to do that test! Now I know how to navigate rural areas easily, and I'm sure now that I can go out on my own: I will master the city. After all, it was enough for me to pass this time! My negative disposition on driving almost vanished the instant I passed the test, actually. Now I want to get my own car. I guess the fails piled up on me, made me think I would never be enough. But I was. Just keep at it, practice, remember the maneuvers, shoulder checks, etc! If I could do it, so can you.

Edit: Trust me, I wouldn't be driving if I didn't have to. It's a necessity where I am unless I want to spend more on rent debt. Just because it took me six attempts doesn't make me a reckless or idiotic driver who will endanger people. Most of the mistakes, especially later on, I made were more just maneuver issues or being too defensive. I know how to drive safely and passing the test should be an indicator of that.

:m#arseyemojirofl:

This guy needed 6 tries to pass, he's probably going to kill someone

3. /u/Wooden-Part-6342

4. I feel like my instructor purposely failed me (G2)

Kid has been driving since 14 and insta failed because he didn't know right of way :marseyclapping:

5. Failed G2 thrice! Twice in Mississauga and once in Oakville. Venting below…

Comments are a bunch of other drivers talking about how much they failed.

6. Failed G2 because the examiner intervened twice and was she just too impatient?

Failed for failing to turn left at a stop sign :mars!eyrofl:

7. Failed my second G test - I got the same examiner again , that was awful

His driving instructor says he's good though, how could he fail :marseyclueless:

8. Passed G at barrie on 3rd attempt (4th overall)

Failed is G2 once and his G twice.

9. Second Time Failing at Port Union

marked as Inadequate skill to complete test on her 2nd try :marseydarkxd:

10. Waited 15 months for my G test. Failed for "uneven speed"

:zoomertears: can't even stay at a constant speed.

11. What can i expect from the Complaint Filed at DriveTest for Failing G road Test due to unfair reason.

A immigrant from Qatar is upset he failed for running a red :marseymuslimitsover:

12. Failed my first G2 test in Kitchener

Never practiced, ran a red :marseylaughwith:

13. Failed G Test Oshawa

Failed to switch lanes because trucks

14. Rude examiner didn't make it back to the driving centre. Yes, I'm petty idc.

:marseygigaretard: fails and leaves the examiner stranded.

15. I failed my G test Taste in 2min AMA(Yeah, had a rough day and I'm an idiot. I ran a red at the second light 🤦‍♂️.)

:marseysteerc#hingchong:

16. Extremely rude examiner at g2 drive test Oshawa

Couldn't even change lanes or turn.

17. Do people normally fail for just parking?

She almost hit another car while parking :marseywhirlyhat:

lol i took a driving test in the philippines and it was start car, drive on this gravel lot around a tree once, park, ok ur cool. dude wasn't in the car or anything, just watched from his little booth.

tbh i felt safer driving there than in the states. i can't recall seeing a single accident in over 3 years there, despite the crazy traffic... and here i see 1-2 a month.

i am actually not sure those tests prove anything really. just regulation for the sake of it.
