I suffer from my dad’s bad genetics and have kidney stone issues no matter how little soda I drink (has something to do with the way we process calcium or something I don’t remember all the details). It’s the end of the semester, so I’m stressing myself crazy and it’s affecting my health.

Yeah I had to rush my gf to the hospital for kidney stones, she was doubled over in pain though and we thought it might be a stomach lining bust or something so I was flying through red lights while honking getting her to the er intake. What’s statue of limitations on all that? We’ll say it happened 7 years ago. Now I’m just a doomer waiting for the day it’ll happen to me too.

Oh... I knew a guy who was on opiates. He was high functioning neurodivergent, super smart, probably the smartest person I ever knew. He was also impossible to socially interact with.

Last I've heard of him he OD'd heavily and after spending 2 weeks in coma woke up and is now essentially a vegetable for life.

Dude threw his life away for a high. I could've easily imagined him coming up with a fricking cure for cancer. Now instead he is bound to a wheelchair and has to be spoonfed by his parents.

I think it was opiates, I didn't really know the guy so it's like second hand information from years ago. Granted maybe it wasn't an overdose, from what I understand the guy synthesized it himself so maybe he fricked up during the process and poisoned himself with something, I'm not sure. But regarding the consequences that's 100% what happened to him.
