Oh... I knew a guy who was on opiates. He was high functioning neurodivergent, super smart, probably the smartest person I ever knew. He was also impossible to socially interact with.

Last I've heard of him he OD'd heavily and after spending 2 weeks in coma woke up and is now essentially a vegetable for life.

Dude threw his life away for a high. I could've easily imagined him coming up with a fricking cure for cancer. Now instead he is bound to a wheelchair and has to be spoonfed by his parents.
