Anyone here a writecel?

I've never written anything more than essays for college, but I can't help but be curious of the literary prowess that my fellow dramatards may possess

I'm remaining neutral. I'm a superfan of TCAP which ironically makes me aware of how shady of a lot of what the org did. For example a bunch of different guys caught in the Fort Myers episode had their charges dropped because PJ claimed the original hard drive containing evidence crashed and was disposed of when a judge ordered them to hand it over. The founder Xavier used the org to harass people he had personal disputes with falsely claiming they were predators. PJ shut down a few years ago after a ton of high ranking members were outed for sexual harassment and other shit. They did catch some dangerous and fricked up people though. Their website is still up and shows the people they caught

That sounds odd, as if they may have been predators themselves the whole time and the org was a cover maybe. I enjoyed the show but never was too into it. Do you think you'll get to interview Chris handsome?

Oh yeah I've already been in contact with his manager (can't believe he can still afford one). Next time I'm in NYC I should be able to set it up because I want to do the initial interview in person

Why wouldnt he be able to afford a manager? I've always seen him as an American hero. I hope he isn't poor.

It's a long butt story but to give you an idea of his money issues his Connecticut house got foreclosed on and a few months later he was evicted from his Manhattan apartment and was caught by security trying to sneak back in so he could spend another night

I enjoy writing fiction. I've got a few short stories that I'm reasonably happy with, and my goal for this year is to get published somewhere (doesn't have to be prestigious, but can't be a vanity collection, a scam, or my blog). I also have some longer term projects, including a novel, but it needs another draft.

I write to explore other perspectives and ideas. My stories tend to be more nuanced than my knee-jerk reactions to things (online or in real life). I also use writing to express my own feelings and attitudes, but I try to complicate them or play with them in some way. To me, part of what makes writing special is it's always a bit indirect. You're never just beaming something from your head to your reader. They are shaping the scenes and characters based on their own lives, biases, experiences, attitudes, etc, and no two people perceive a story the same way. The challenge for a writer is leaving just the right amount of room for that.

Tagging @chiobu since you mentioned me :marseyblowkiss:

Idk I just like rhyming shit. I do respect meter. See

The Autumn fall left none at all

But limbs laid bare to needled stares,

For evergreens see seasons' stings

While foresight sheathes what lies beneath

The Autumn fall, red-golden sprawl,

Lost leaves who sow but never know

The acorn's quest there laid to rest,

Twixt roots that spread amongst the dead.

Does wisdom spoil within the soil,

Or would they see as it should be

And speak their worth into the Earth

To never tell that Autumn fell?

It's alright. Nothing to write home about. Not really seeing the images and feeling the emotions you're going for.

I reckon if you use older verbiage you have to use it perfectly. Any less comes off as try hard.
