That book and its even worse sequel, Wolves of the Calla, made me actually mad at Stephen King, like I wanted to knock on his door and just kick him in the nuts as hard as I could. And I read them like 10 years apart from each other, so I got to feel that way twice.
It only sucks if you're reading the wrong books. For example, just now I read a scene in Murakami's "Killing Commendatore" in which the narrator suspects he has conceived a child by long distance ghost-raping his estranged wife. That's some quality content right there.
Nah they've taken over every genre of fiction and every award for the genre. If a man gets to publish a book now it WILL have women in at least a co protagonist role.

Just bought some old YA horror's anthology collection from the 90s to scan and upload to libgen. The one story i read of it in another collection had really comfy twilight zone meets Dahl
This old bookstore I used to go to in high school had shelves of old anthology fiction that no one probably even remembers anymore, like 50 or 60 volumes of some old sci-fi stuff from the late 1950s and stuff like that. I'd probably buy some of that stuff if I could go back in time, they only wanted like 10 cents a book.
Anthologies are my second hidden autism behind comics. I can pretty much read any short story collection esp if it's horror or sci fi and still try to keep up on kids horror since I find the genre interesting. Anthology shows like tales from the whatever and twilight zone and outer limits all its clones are all I watch anymore lol.

Fiction is a waste of your time. Read something about reality and be better off for it.

Absolute r-slurred take. Non fiction is for midwits at best and might as well have "baby's first book" stamped on the side of it.

No wonder modern literature sucks (I didn't watch the video, I just tend to blame women for things like this)

Doesn't matter as foids only write YA/Goonerette fiction. Once you graduate high school neither should ever be appealing to you.
