Agreed. I listened to the first three ASOIAF a decade ago, can't remember anything other than the narrator doing a dodgy Churchill impression for Tywin Lannister's voice. Got bored halfway through the fourth one and gave up.

The only thing I remember from the fourth book is the
knight wasting a third of the book on a quest the reader already knew was pointless.
That and the massive amounts of
on how it's the best book in the series according to the diehard fans when you tell them it sucked.
