Of all the laughing marseys, my personal favourite is

is good for conveying laughter at or ridicule of something.

is good however for conveying just regular laughter, perhaps to an extreme degree. This is the Marsey when many keks are had

So basically both have their uses, but seems to better fit a more common scenario
