IMO it's incompatible with the ability to private your profile, and freely privating a profile is a fairly necessary feature you can't put behind goomble or pisspig walls for reasons we saw demonstrated during the first few months here of every forum since septembrio 1993 
Edit: case in point, I can't post on @christmaspathianflorist 's wall to say wall posting is bad feature bc it's private. If i could do that, this post wouldn't need to exist

I like having my comments private to outsiders.
I would also like wall posting, but I know mine would 100% get spammed with unsavory pictures, so I'm fine having mine require 10k to post there.
