I don't have much of a dog in this slap fight but it's a waste tbh. Anything under 27 inches for 1440p is not worth it. It depends on distance from monitor, but assuming a normal distance, should've done at least 27 to get your moneys worth brother.
You'd have been better off getting 1080p and saving the money or using it on some accessories you need.
The general rule of thumb is:
1080 to 24
1440 to 27
4K to 32
Obviously there are exceptions, a little wiggle room, and flexibility to this, it's not gospel, but as you said playing WOW isn't really one of those.
Spend your money however you want but that choice could've been optimized better.
