That's money that was gifted to me along with savings from when I used to work. I've had a retirement account since I was fourteen.

The house was just a cheap house I got for helping my uncle out in the last stage of his life.

In all likelihood I make much more than you do. Maybe if you gave us the actual title of your job it would be easier to pinpoint what your likely salary is but I guess we'll never know.
I think he's rich enough to retire provided he doesn't blow it all buying a bunch of expensive cars (only time will tell). My guess is he's got at least $2-3 million in index funds or something.
And btw, if you have $900,000 in your bank account you could just put them in high-dividend ETFs and live off of that without having to work anymore, so why haven't you? That's the point where a lot of people just decide to do side jobs or start their own business instead.
