Mexican mayor among 20 dead in mass shooting
Gunmen linked to organized crime have opened fire at city hall and a nearby home in San Miguel Totolapan in southwest Mexico, killing at least 20 people and injuring several others, local officials say.
Advertisment Police then responded to a nearby house, where many people were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
Another official confirmed that, in total, at least 20 people were killed.
The PRD political party, to which Conrado Mendoza belonged, confirmed the mayor’s death in a statement shortly after the attack.
The massacre is the third attack which shocked Mexico in recent weeks.

Sometimes I imagine what it would be like to have a chill central America. I've been to Cancun and it's great and all, but they literally have to have dudes with assault rifles to keep out the smash and grabbers and kidnappers. How cool would it be to just be able to drive down to South America on a chill butt road trip and not have to worry about being killed? What a fricking waste.

Worst thing about is is that South America is one of the most beautiful continents in the world, the environmental diversity in a single country like Mexico or Chile is astounding. Too bad the CIA and bloodthirsty locals ensured you can’t explore it as a foreigner without being taken hostage by Miguel the Los Zetas henchman and burnt alive in a bus for kicks when they get your ransom money.
