How did Truss win the leadership in the first place if they hated her policies so much they booted her after a month? Did she lie about what she was planning to do, or did no one bother even to ask?

She dented the economy and crashed the pound within her first working week in office. It didn't help that the majority of MPs supported Rishi to begin with, but the wider party membership voted in Liz instead because she was offering unrealistic tax cuts over the more necessary but less appealing tax rises Rishi was proposing.
This time around they've decided that the wider party are mongoloids and don't get a say anymore. In other words, it was his turn.
