The wagner group. France doesnt give two shits about Ukraine really. But the fact that Russia is stirring shit up in West Africa through Wagner (they like, massacred an entire village and convinced locals that the French army was behind it) makes them mad as shit because its the last place on earth France has a tiny bit of power over left, and Russia is compromising that too.
Not very chivalrous to stomp on someone else's playground tbh
