What always gets me about stories like this is that there's nothing like being on the business end of a violence to smack some clarity into your head with a clue-by-four. I imagine quite a few r-slurs like the victim in this case were super bleeding hearts right up until they faced a life-or-death situation and realized how fricking stupid they've been. Imagine suffering immensely and your last thought before death being "I was wrong" and then your fricking r-slurred family gives the killers your inheritance because ????

Had to think on this comment. I think you're looking at ratio of y to mito at year zero. If you observe closely both East Asians and whites have similar ratio > 1 ratio. Near Asia and Africa around 1. South Asia slightly less than 1. Siberia and Central Asia much less than 1. Never noticed this before. Good noticing. Though I still don't understand you're conclusion

So I am not very good at interpreting graphs so I could be completely misreading this so do please correct me if I am. My understanding is:
The chart on the left represents y chromosome (male) population over time for different regions.
The chart on the right represents mtDNA (female) population over the same time period for different regions.
So on the left chart the largest share of men is blue (south east and east Asian) for the majority of the time and only in the very end does the caucasian orange male boom occur.
However on the right chart we can see that the women in orange (Caucasians) exploded in population at a point in time far earlier than the caucasian males on the left chart.
Which seems to indicate as per the image you shared that the caucasian females had a population boom far earlier than the caucasian male however for the majority of those fifty thousand years southeast Asian men were the majority of men in the world thus indicating as per my limited theory crafting that South Asian males being in higher number were the ones continuing the south asian geneline whereas the Caucasian female being the primary female population were the ones continuing the caucasian geneline.
Would you say my reading of the charts is correct?

I'm not looking at the ratio of y to mito, I'm looking at the ratio of y to mito over time. East Asians and whites have a similar ratio > 1 ratio at year zero, but over time the ratio for East Asians decreases while the ratio for whites increases. Near Asia and Africa the ratio is around 1. South Asia is slightly less than 1. Siberia and Central Asia are much less than 1.

I don’t think they were Zulus or just Zulus, they were protestors and rioters against Apartheid and her car was going down the road where they were gathering. I forgot if they killed her because they thought she was South African or just because she was a mayoid in general but she was in South Africa in the first place to help protest apartheid.
Iirc I forgot if they were affiliated with any major group but they were in the process of being prosecuted until the Mandela’s general sweeping post-apartheid pardon was put into effect which gave amnesty to both government and anti-apartheid forces which they fell under.
